Scott Wyzykoski

General Dentist

BSc. Molecular Genetics University of Alberta 2000
Doctor of Dental Surgery University of Alberta 2004

I strive every day to be positive and to treat people as I would like to be treated.

I grew up about 50km southwest of Bentley in a log house on a small family farm that I’m still proud to be a part of today. My wife, Julie, and I live 10 minutes from town and are excited to be a part of the Bentley community. I also work at a large practice in Red Deer one day a week focusing on implant supported dentures.

My main personal interests are sports, playing music (mostly guitar) and horse ranching. I enjoy skiing, hockey, golf, tennis, volleyball, and anything that involves some type of exercise with a social side. I have always called Alberta home and I love living here, regardless of the harsh winter weather. I was a rodeo cowboy, in what seems like a previous life, for over 20 years. I consider myself first, and foremost, a cowboy. My parents and Julie and I raise and train rodeo bucking horses.

Julie Malcolm

RN University of Calgary 2006

Julie is the greatest person I have ever met. We have been married since 2009 and I feel very honored she is willing to spend so much time with me. She is responsible for the tasteful renovation of this building for dental use and is also our infection control guru and dental RN for surgical procedures. She has 2 other jobs. One as a part-time Operating Room Nurse in Red Deer and two, as an OT specialist with Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) in not-so-touristy places.

She is from the Sunshine Coast north of Vancouver and we enjoy visiting there a couple times a year. She is the primary caregiver of our 2 dogs, 2 horses, and too many cats as well as an incredible chef and she treats my staff to lunch one day every week she is home.

Julie also likes playing music (mostly piano), and spending time with animals or humans in need. She also has a competitive sporting side, but her favorite activity is swimming – preferably an ocean.

Brett Bueckert

General Dentist

I’ve been a dentist in several places in central Alberta over the last 40 years. I had retired, but decided I needed to keep doing this job for a while longer because I enjoy meeting and helping people. I am married to my wife Teresa. We have 6 children and 9 grandchildren! I enjoy spending time with family and most sports including the Edmonton Eskimos and Edmonton Oilers.

Tianna Grutterink

Steri Tech

I was born and raised in Red Deer, but completed high school here in Bentley. I gained interest in the dental field, so I obtained a diploma as a Dental Administrative Assistant. Since starting at BFD, Dr. W has allowed me to expand my skills and I am now the steri technician, and jack of all trades in the office!  My husband Trent and I live on his family farm in between Bentley and Rimbey. We enjoy spending our time playing baseball in the Bentley Couch Potato League, camping, and spending time with friends and family.

Alycia Poffenroth

Registered Dental Hygienist

I grew up in Ponoka, Alberta and went to hygiene school in Mississauga, Ontario in 2010 and graduated from The Canadian Academy of Dental Hygiene with my diploma in 2012. For 8 years I worked at Aurora Dental Group in Lacombe and now I am excited to be with Bentley Family Dentistry meeting neighbours and community members. I live just west of Bentley on a farm with my husband Colin, and two kids, Sofie and Jack. Right now my spare time consists of raising two kids, cooking for the farm boys, gardening and spending time in my yard!

I have loved becoming a member of the Bentley community and look forward to meeting more people and getting more involved!

Tessa Cameron

Registered Dental Hygienist

Hello! My name is Tessa and I am a Registered Dental Hygienist that graduated from the University of Alberta with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene in 2018, and then a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2019. I am currently living in Lacombe, and have been working at Bentley Family Dentistry since February of 2019. I love the small town feel and sense of community that comes with working in a rural dental office, and I can’t wait to keep meeting all of the great people in Bentley and the surrounding towns!

I grew up in Blackfalds and was largely involved in the competitive dance community in central Alberta before I pursued a career in dental hygiene. I always knew that I wanted to be a part of the dental profession from a young age, and I am very excited and proud to be here. When I am not at work, I enjoy being outside with my new puppy Jobi, cooking, camping and travelling whenever I get the chance! I look forward to becoming part of the community and promoting great oral health!

Maureen Moore

Team Leader

Hi there!  I grew up on a farm north of Bentley and now my husband, our three sons, and I live west of Bentley on a small cattle farm.

I love being involved in and working in our amazing community! You will likely find me around the town getting a coffee at the best coffee shop around, torturing myself at Bootcamp, skiing at Medicine Lodge Ski Hill, or simply walking around town with some great friends.  It’s amazing to live so near a great beach and I feel blessed to be able to work in a community with such wonderful people.

Jaime Gammon

Reception

I was born and raised in North Vancouver, B.C. and moved to Alberta in 2000. I have been involved in the dental field as a receptionist for the past 6 years. I started working at the Bentley Family Dentistry office in the fall of 2020. I live with my husband on an acreage west of Lacombe and officially traded in my Gucci shoes for Carhartt clothes and rubber boots. We have a flock of chickens and pet goats on our acreage and are about to get a new puppy this spring. I love the rural communities of Bentley and Lacombe where I can meet people from all walks of life.

Working at the BFD continues to be a great experience and I hope to see you and help you with arranging appointments for your dental needs.

Cindy Oliver

Registered Dental Assistant

My name is Cynthia L Oliver, but that’s pretty formal! Somewhere along the way I became Cindy Lou… yes Cindy Lou Whoo! It’s a name that has followed me from place to place over the years!

Red Deer, Alberta is my hometown however, I’ve lived in two other interesting places. Yellowknife NWT where I fell in love with the Aurora Borealis, and Drumheller, Alberta with its unique scenery and desert like qualities.

Many years ago I challenged the dental assisting program at NAIT and I have never looked back.

I have been a dental assistant for over 30 years and have experience in every aspect of dental care, from tooth extraction to tooth replacement and everything in between. My goal as a dental assistant was to always be caring and compassionate while helping create healthy beautiful smiles. My goals are fulfilled daily! Most people are not that excited about going to the Dentist, I’m here to make it a better experience! As a member of our Central Alberta Dental Assistants association, I held the position of Dental Health month for 8 consecutive terms as well as the role of association President for 2 years.

When I’m not at work I enjoy birdwatching, photography and watercolour painting. My passion though is for Golf! There are four seasons in the year for most people, in my world I have two…eight months of golfing and four months of not golfing! From April to October if you are looking for me, I’m likely to be found on a course trying to get that hole in one!

Natalie Hall

Registered Dental Assistant

I grew up in Kamloops, BC and moved to Red Deer in 2014.  I now live in Lacombe with my husband and 2 kids.  I love all aspects of dental assisting but especially love oral surgery and working with the little ones!  When I’m not in the office I love spending time with my family, quilting, being outdoors, and working on my novel “The Disgruntled Dental Assistant (What your assistant is really thinking but will never say)”   Come in for a free signed copy if you book!  HaHa!  Just kidding 😉
